If you happen to be celebrating a birthday, you absolutely have to try their Birthday Cake Latte, it’s festive, fun, and perfect for kicking off a special day.
Next, head over to Coppy Pony for some unique shopping. Their shop features eclectic, style-conscious products at a variety of price points, making it easy to find something fun whether you’re browsing or on the hunt for a gift. They also have a full coffee shop menu with sandwiches, soups, salads, and baked goods so if you’re still feeling snacky, you’re covered.
Before leaving the area, make one more must-stop visit to Mixin’ It Up Gluten Free Bakery. Having a dedicated gluten-free bakery in the neighborhood is such a treat. From breads and cakes to cookies and pies you’ll find plenty of delicious goodies worth grabbing to-go.

If you’re looking for something truly unforgettable, this is it.
Emotion in Motion offers experiences you won’t find just anywhere, including a Smash Room and Splatter Room that are perfect for birthdays, celebrations, or just blowing off some steam.
For birthday smash room experiences, the process is well-organized and safety-focused. Everyone signs waivers, listens to a safety briefing, and learns what tools can be used, where to smash safely, and what to wear. Safety goggles are required, along with closed-toe shoes (no Crocs), and thicker clothing. They even have flannels available to borrow if needed.
Next comes one of the most fun parts, choosing what you’ll smash. Items are organized on shelves, and you’re guided on how many items you can select. Each participant loads their items into a crate before taking turns in the smash room.
Participants typically go in groups of one to three, smashing items like plates, bottles, and sometimes even electronics.
One of the highlights, especially for birthdays, is the final smash, which in our case was a container filled with confetti. The host gave us a heads-up beforehand so we could snap a photo and it made for a seriously fun moment.
Pro Tip:
Don’t smash everything at once. Do a few items, step out, and rotate turns. You’ll likely see techniques your friends try that you’ll want to test yourself and it’s much more fun when you still have items left for round two.
Most parties are booked for about two hours, but how long the experience lasts really depends on how the group manages their time.

Jimmy’s Pour House
Jimmy’s Pour House is absolutely packed with history.
The building itself is one of the oldest in Sauk Rapids, surviving the devastating cyclone of 1866 when many others did not. In its early days, it operated mostly as a hotel and during Prohibition, it even functioned as a speakeasy.
In the 1970s, Jim and Marilyn Lynch purchased the building, and it’s been known as Jimmy’s Pour House ever since.
At one point, an author compared Jimmy’s to the TV show Cheers, and honestly, that comparison fits. For many locals, this spot holds years of memories and celebrations, making it a place where people truly feel welcome.
The current restaurant and bar is now double its original size, growing right alongside the community.

Molitor’s Quarry Grill & Bar
Molitor’s Quarry Grill & Bar has one of the most fun origin stories around, it all started on the owners’ first date.
Ron brought Tammy to an abandoned quarry site and shared his dream of turning it into a trout farm. And then he actually made it happen.
Over time, they added more features, including Molitor’s Haunted Acres, a seasonal attraction, a wedding venue, and eventually the full grill and bar you see today.
Their menu offers something for everyone, from hearty favorites like the Molitor’s TNT Burger (two quarter-pound patties with pepper jack cheese, pickled onions, lettuce, tomato, and sriracha mayo) to pasta dishes like Tuscan Sun-Dried Pesto Cavatappi.
🚗 Evening Fun in Sauk Rapids, MN: Racing at Granite City Motor Park
If you’re visiting during racing season, this is a fantastic way to wrap up your day.
Granite City Motor Park, formerly known as Granite City Speedway is a seasonal auto racing track open from May through Labor Day.
They host WISSOTA-sanctioned dirt racing, including Modifieds, Super Stocks, and Midwest Modifieds. You’ll also find demolition derbies and monster truck events throughout the season.
They’re planning April 26, 2026 as their season opener, making it a great date to mark on your calendar if you’re looking for high-energy evening entertainment.
